About "The Work in the Waiting"
When God does not provide the desires, which we are waiting on Him for in our timeline, what should we do in the in-between?
This is a lifelong question we must answer because life is full of waiting on the Lord for different desires. Desires we wait on the Lord for include: when will my parents let me make my own decisions? When will God open the door for employment? When will my path and my future husband’s path cross? When will God bless me with a child? On and on the list can go for the desires we wait for the Lord to provide. Waiting on the Lord for desires is part of God’s plan for us, and He has a purpose for our wait journeys.
Christia Givens empathizes with the daughters of God who have been waiting far longer than they envisioned and are on the brink of giving up waiting. This book was birthed out of the journey God took her on while waiting on Him for her future husband. In The Work in the Waiting, Christia invites you to join her for an in-depth analysis of the men and women in the Book of Ruth. This book is not a guide to being found by your Boaz. Rather this book provides a fresh perspective on why waiting is not punishment but a beautiful gift from God.
